i'm back!!!

actualli i was back last fridae...but have been too busy to blog. hmm...overall taiwan was great! afternoon under the scorching sun...& fantastic nite life. something i wish s'pore had. hahah roads wider & more complicated...too much things to see in onli 5 daes. but i guess we managed to go according to plan...with most daes rushing ard. hahaha this is gona be a long long post...so get ready....

Day 1: departure from changi airport. all excited to leave s'pore!
1st time flying with jetstar...not bad! pilot spoke with an accent...abit chim. haha the window seat was the best. was enjoying the take-offs & landing...& admiring all the different types of clouds in the sky. i can stare at clouds for hours....coz the fluffs of clouds had different shapes and patterns which was juz truely beautiful to awe at. i was starting to imagine how nice it will be to be an angel living in cloud castle in heaven. i felt like i was in heaven...full of thick fluffy chouds. i was hoping to see a rainbow...but didn't see any.

e! and so...besides staring out the window...we played taidi thru'out the rest of the journey there. i was too excited to sleep ba.

<-- this is the topview of taiwan! lots of rural land...but we went the the urban taipei. full of colour & life....so many neon advertisements along every road...every street & every alley.

stayed at rainbow hotel which was at the centre of xi men ding. great hotel...good location & service. spend the 1st dae walking nearby to familiarise ourselves. tried the packet papaya milk from 7-11 which was yummy! heard its the next best popular...after bubble tea. btw...we had lotsa bubble te

& we got so addicted to it coz of the wide variety of toys u can try ur luck to catch! at the end of the trip...i ended up with quite a few...which were so cute! keke ate at the nearby xiao fan dian...and had ice kachang for dessert. we could choose from so many ingredients! yUmMy! tried the smelly toufu...which i now can say for sure that i hate it! heard that taiwan's version is nicer...my frens seem to enjoy it...but i simply dunno how to appreciate. enough for me...at least i've tried. hahah

Day 2: woke up early...went yang ming shan. was a tiring day coz machiam jungle tracking to go see the waterfall & hotspring. hot weather made us all the more wiped out...4eva looking forward to the air-con bus ride which took us ard the huge mountain. i was so glad when we left...coz a little mountain trekking was enough for me. i'm not the adventurous jungle-trekking type. hahah next made our way to shilin nite mkt. ate the no.1 super extra large XXXL chic chop! its the best. so big &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; juicy & crispy! =P~
subsequent daes we ate chic chop at other places too...but they were not as nice...got bone so

memore. actualli spore's version is not bad too. well...i was shocked that the shilin makan place is like a sheltered hawker centre. extremely big area. i expected it to be a long stretch along a street... keke anywayz...we tried out so many types of delicacies! (this is the good thing abt having a big grp..can share). haha there's so much stuff we can't find in s'pore...eat until we peNgZ. haha

look at the sausages! so long rite! got a shock manz...hahah btw...the white ones are actualli like glutinous rice...keke

yah...of course we were shopping like siao ard shilin area...b4 & after our makan spree. haha stayed until late...so had to take taxi back...which was not very exp.

Day 3: since we've took bus & taxi already....we tried the mrt! somewhat the same...onli that there was a

more open feeling coz no other door between the train's door & u. went to sunyatsen memorial hall...and then to taipei 101. took many pics. didn't go all the way up 101 coz had to pay. we were all running low on cash...& wanted to keep it for the next 2 daes. heard that wu fen pu nite mkt was a good place to shop...but we were all so darn disappointed with that place. maybe we thought so highly of it...& expected so much out of it. but seriously...such a let down. super packed with shops..alley after alley. with so many directions u can walk. but mostly sell similar stuff...& hardly allowed trying. none of us bought anything coz we thought it was nothing compared to shilin. so we went to another nite mkt nearby which was much better. head back to hotel to get ready for clubbing! went to Carnegies which was playing r&b. didn't realli feel like taiwan coz there were many foreigners. suprisingly many angmohs. but it was still fun...coz got to see many "bar-top dancers". both good & bad ones. hahaha

Day4: was hard waking up after so many late nites...but the thought of going to xiao ren guo (small pple world)...pushed us all out of bed. it was a veri interesting place...coz all the structures are smaller than us. we were like giants there.

it was amazing how detailed and precise all the stru

ctures were built on a miniature scale. i felt like i've travelled round the world juz by going there. coz there's structures from taiwan, asia, europe, china, etc. so so so many types! camera went flat...so gotta wait for fren's photos. there was a carnival...roller coasters and amusement park there. took a fast-spinning ride & merry-go-round (aka carousel)! can spend a whole dae but didn't have the time. if onli we knew there were so much stuff! i realli wanted to sit the super high roller coaster! but it was a wet ride...& we didn't bring our swimming stuff. like a mini wild wild wet there u noe! oh manz. we were kinda running out of time too. so after travelling round the world in 3-4 hrs...went back to the city to find mala steamboat. took quite some time to find one...& it was soOoo spicy! but it was realli good. then rushed to take ferris wheel as it was getting late! i saw the lighted ferris wheel....so magnificant! if onli my camera had batt...i would have taken. & nobody took the whole shot of it! so wasteD~ piangz...it was damn nice. had a nice 17min ride in the wheel...the fantastic high view was something i'll rarely get to see. how i wish the ride was much longer. hahah went back to rest in our cosy hotel. btw...their tv has 100+ channels leh~ oh manz...sHiOk! so every nite we were watching tv b4 going to bed at 3+am hahaha

Day 5: final dae we slept longer. spent the day doing last min shopping and finding their speciality foodstuff. veri rush...and had to catch the evening flight. almost couldn't stuff everything into my luggage....haha took these pics on the way to taiwan airport...last few glimps of taiwan b4 i leave. full of chinese words which i struggled to read.

no idea where is this place...juz happen to notice these small huts built on a mountain. looked so cute...& i'm glad that i caught a shot of it.

also this road sign...in chinese! even their stop sign...also in chinese. 1st time see so much chinese all over the place....& somemore its fan ti zhi...not jian ti. i think if i stay there longer...my chinese sure improve alot! haha i came back to s'pore feeling more "chinarised". waha

our return flight was evening thru' nite.... so we caught the sunset. orangy sky. look at the close-up pic...the clouds actualli formed shapes of animals. can u see a horse? so nice rite! thats y i like clouds... like how i like stars... skies... rainbows... waterfalls...fireworks. i juz can't stop taking picz.

the whole flight was accompanied by taidi again. arriving back in s'pore ard midnite. i was tempted to buy alcohol from the duty-free store....but didn't. now i think i should have coz its so cheap! wat a waste. anyway...i didn't have much cash left. hahah spent so much!!! oh manz. but worth it...coz bought so many things...for myself & for pple. & most imptly...tried so many unique food! too short a trip....but realli an un4gettable one. =)
